Old Married Couple

            "Smart-ass" She  quipped to him at his remark about her looks. But she knew he meant it as a compliment. In the many years they had been married, both had traded backhand compliments back and forth in the the name of love. They both knew at the end of the day, they loved each other. No matter who said or did what, or what they looked liked.  Over the decades their bodies had changed . Gravity had taken is toll, along,with various aliments that came with both old age and  being married for decades. 

     Over the years they had survived many challenges. Their 4 kids were a source of pride, all were good upstanding , hard working citizens. They had make their mark in the world in positive ways.  Their personal lives had flourished, as they got older they had found new ways to enjoy the perks of being older and living within their physical limitations

.      All in all it had been a good life. some of magic, a lot of it tragic, but they had a good life all they way.

They are the quintessential, old married couple.
